Root cause of abnormal noise in planetary gear reducers (2)
1. Abrasion and noise caused by pitting: metallic debris falls off on the tooth face when the gear has been transmitted for a period of time. The range of pitting will expand by time, leading to an acceleration of metallic abrasion visible on the tooth face.2. Improper maintenance: unidentified objects attached to the tooth face, insufficient lubricating oil, poor cleanliness, and other reasons may damage the gear accuracy and cause noise in the long run. If unidentified objects are attached to the tooth surface, an inspection of removing the unidentified objects from the tooth face is needed. Chances of unclean lubricating oil are high when intermittent noise during operation is detected from the reducer. Replace new lubricating oil will solve this issue.
3. Damaged bearing: damaged bearing might even cause intermittent noise. Should this problem occur repeatedly, contact your manufacturer immediately for further inspection and replacement.
